Karen Kane has developed the tools and techniques to assist boards in effectively engaging with shareholders. After a successful career as a journalist, Karen has spent nearly 20 years advising Fortune 100 executives as well as entrepreneurial start ups as both a senior management member and consultant. Her skill and judgment have helped clients create effective communications in the face of some of the most difficult business and national crises– including environmental emergencies, the high-tech bubble and 9/11.
A former board secretary, Karen brings her expertise to assist boards in today’s shareholder-centric environment. She has proved effective in marshalling the necessary resources, both internal and external, to assist the board in anticipating and managing shareholder issues. She excels at identifying vulnerabilities and developing pragmatic plans. She focuses on crafting credible responses to avoid a crisis.
